How to Cancel Your Whitewater Car Wash Membership: Deadlines and Refunds

The full name and email address on the account.
The license plate of the vehicle tied to the membership.
Your home location, meaning the Whitewater site where you originally signed up.

If you can’t find the barcode number, any Whitewater location can look it up for you.

The Five-Day Billing Deadline

This is the number that matters. Cancellation requests must reach Whitewater at least five days before your next recurring payment date, and a request that arrives inside that window won’t stop the upcoming charge.¹

Your billing date is usually the anniversary of the day you first signed up, not the first of the month. Check the original confirmation email or a recent bank or card statement to pin down the exact date before you submit anything.

Canceling Online

Choose your state from the list. That routes you to the correct regional system.
Fill in your barcode number, name, email, and license plate, and select cancellation as the reason for the request.
Submit the form and save the confirmation. Screenshot the confirmation page or write down any reference number you’re given.

The same portal handles plan changes, card updates, and receipt requests, so if you’re canceling because of price, you can switch to a lower tier in the same place instead of closing the account.¹

Canceling in Person

Visit any Whitewater Express location and ask to speak with the site manager. The manager can pull up your account in the internal system and process the cancellation on the spot.³

Ask for a printed receipt or written confirmation before you leave. A verbal “you’re all set” isn’t proof if a charge appears on your card later.

Whitewater lists a corporate phone number on its Contact Us page, but it isn’t designated as a cancellation line and the site steers customers to the online portal instead.² If you do call, don’t treat the conversation as a completed cancellation unless you get something in writing.

Pause Instead of Cancel

If the reason for canceling is temporary, like travel, a car repair, or a tight month, you can pause the membership through the same Manage My Membership portal.¹ Pausing stops billing without closing the account, so you skip the signup process when you’re ready to resume. The five-day-before-billing deadline applies to pause requests too.

What to Expect on Refunds

Whitewater’s refund rules are strict. Some memberships include an initial three-month commitment, and payment for that period is non-refundable.³ After that, billing rolls month-to-month. There are no prorated refunds for unused days, and no refunds for days a location closes early due to weather or maintenance.

Whitewater can also terminate an account immediately, with no refund of any remaining balance, if it determines that the windshield sticker has been tampered with or the membership has been used in ways that violate the agreement.³

After You Cancel

A confirmation email usually arrives within a couple of days. If nothing shows up, follow up through the portal or at the location where you canceled. No confirmation means no proof.

Your RFID tag stays active through the end of the billing cycle you already paid for, so you can keep using the wash until the date your next payment would have hit.¹ After that date, the sticker becomes inactive.

If You’re Still Being Charged

Check your bank or card statement the month after cancellation should have taken effect. If a charge appears, contact Whitewater first with your cancellation confirmation. Most billing errors at that point are administrative and can be reversed.

If Whitewater doesn’t resolve it, dispute the charge with your credit card issuer. Write to the address the issuer lists for billing inquiries, not the payment address, and include your account number, a description of the problem, and copies of your cancellation confirmation. Your letter has to reach the issuer within 60 days of the statement that first showed the charge. The issuer then has 30 days to acknowledge your complaint and 90 days to resolve it, and you can withhold payment on the disputed amount during the investigation without being reported as delinquent.⁴
