You can cancel a Wand subscription at any time, but you have to do it in the same place you signed up: through your account at wand.com/account, through the Apple App Store, through Google Play, or through PayPal if that was your payment method. Canceling in the wrong place leaves the billing active, which is why most “I canceled but I’m still being charged” complaints happen. Wand Pro currently costs $7.99 per month or $70 per year, and renews automatically until you stop it.
Find Out Where You Actually Subscribed
Before you touch any cancel button, confirm which company is billing you. Wand subscriptions can originate from three separate systems, and each one has its own subscription manager.
Check your email for the original purchase confirmation. If the receipt came from Apple or Google, cancellation has to go through that platform. If it came from Wand, you cancel on Wand’s site. Your bank or credit card statement also helps: the charge descriptor usually names the billing entity.
Cancel on Wand’s Website
If you subscribed directly, sign in at wand.com/account, open your subscription or billing settings, and follow the prompts to end the plan. Wand’s Terms of Service confirm you can cancel at any time and that there is no early termination fee.
Timing matters. Wand charges your payment method at each renewal until you cancel. Cancel before the next renewal date to avoid the next charge. Cancel mid-cycle on a monthly plan and you keep access through the period you already paid for, without a prorated refund.
Cancel Through the Apple App Store
If you signed up on an iPhone or iPad, Apple is the biller. Deleting the Wand app or canceling inside the app itself will not stop the charges.
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top of the screen.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Wand from the list.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll down to find the button.
Apple typically lets you keep using the paid features until the current billing period ends. If you also want a refund on a recent charge, that goes through reportaproblem.apple.com: sign in, choose “Request a refund,” select your reason, pick the Wand charge, and submit. Apple asks for 24 to 48 hours to respond.
Cancel Through Google Play
Android users who subscribed through Google Play cancel through Google, not through the Wand app.
- Open the Google Play app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Tap Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Wand.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
You can also reach the same controls from your device’s Settings app under Google, then Manage your Google Account, then Payments and subscriptions.
Cancel a PayPal Billing Agreement
If you paid through PayPal, there is a separate recurring-payment agreement on PayPal’s side. Canceling in Wand’s account settings does not always stop that agreement, so check both.
- On the PayPal website: go to Settings, click Payments, select Automatic payments, find Wand, and cancel.
- In the PayPal app: tap Menu, then Subscriptions or Linked Businesses, find Wand, tap Account, and tap Unlink.
Refunds Are a Separate Question
Canceling stops future charges. Getting money back for a charge that already went through is governed by Wand’s refund policy, which is restrictive. The Terms of Service state that no refunds are granted, including for prepaid service that wasn’t fully used, unless local law says otherwise. In practice:
- Monthly plans: no partial refunds once the billing period starts; cancellation takes effect at the end of that period.
- Annual plans: a 50% refund may be available if you cancel between 14 and 30 days after purchase. After 30 days, no refund.
- New subscribers: a full refund is available within 14 days of the initial purchase, provided you haven’t heavily used the service.
If Apple or Google billed you, refund requests go to those platforms and follow their policies, which can differ from Wand’s.
What You Keep After Canceling
You should receive a confirmation email or see an updated status on your account after the cancellation goes through. Save that confirmation; it is your proof if a charge appears later.
On a monthly or annual plan, Pro features stay active until the billing period you already paid for ends. Your account then drops to the free tier, which includes a two-hour daily session timer for gameplay customization and unlimited cloud storage for video highlights. Wand Pro removes the session timer.
If You’re Still Being Charged
Start with Wand support and send your cancellation confirmation. Most repeat charges at this stage trace back to the subscription being canceled in one place but still active in another, most often when someone canceled on Wand’s website but Apple was actually doing the billing.
If the merchant won’t fix it, dispute the charge with your card issuer. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, you have 60 days from the statement date containing the disputed charge to send a written dispute to your issuer’s billing inquiry address, including your name, account number, the charge amount, and why you believe it’s an error. The issuer has to acknowledge within 30 days and resolve the dispute within two billing cycles.
Those protections apply to credit cards. If you paid with a debit card, the dispute falls under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, and the protections are weaker; notify your bank as quickly as possible, because longer delays can reduce how much the bank has to reimburse.
