How to Cancel Your Tilt Subscription: App, iPhone, and Android

To cancel a Tilt subscription, use the same channel you signed up through: open the Tilt app and tap Cancel Subscription inside the Billing section if you’re billed directly, or cancel through your iPhone’s Subscriptions settings or the Google Play Store if you subscribed there. The whole process takes about two minutes once you know which channel is billing you.

Before you start, check your linked payment method. If the $8 comes out of your bank account, you subscribed directly. If it appears on an Apple or Google receipt, that’s your channel.

Cancel Inside the Tilt App

Direct subscribers cancel from within the app itself. Open Tilt, go to More, tap Billing, and select Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the page.1Tilt. How Do I Cancel My Subscription No phone call, no email.

The Billing section also shows your next payment date.2Tilt. How Does the Tilt Subscription Work Check it before you cancel. If a charge already hit today, you’ve paid for the coming month and keep access through the end of it.

Cancel Through Apple on iPhone

If you subscribed through the App Store, canceling inside Tilt won’t stop Apple from billing you. Cancel through Apple directly:

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap your name at the top.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Select Tilt and tap the cancellation option.

Apple will ask you to confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode before the change takes effect.3Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple If Tilt doesn’t appear in the Subscriptions list, your billing runs directly through the app rather than Apple, so use the in-app steps above.

Cancel Through Google Play on Android

Android users who signed up through the Play Store have to cancel there:

  • Open your subscriptions in Google Play.
  • Select Tilt.
  • Tap Cancel Subscription.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm.

Deleting the Tilt app does not cancel anything. Google will keep charging your payment method until you formally cancel through the steps above.4Google. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play This is the most common reason people see charges months after assuming they were done.

Free Trials and the Legacy Rate

First-time customers get a 14-day free trial. Cancel before day 14 and you pay nothing. Once the trial expires, the subscription auto-renews and $8 is debited from your linked bank account each month.2Tilt. How Does the Tilt Subscription Work Tilt does not appear to warn you before the trial converts, so set your own calendar reminder for a day or two before it ends.

One warning for longtime users. Customers who signed up before July 29, 2020 pay $6 per month rather than $8.5Tilt. Does Tilt Charge Any Hidden Fees Cancel that legacy plan and you lose the rate. Reactivating later means paying $8.

What Happens After You Cancel

You keep access to Tilt’s features through the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for. The Billing section should now show your account as canceled or pending cancellation. Watch the next billing cycle on your bank statement to confirm nothing else posts.

If you change your mind, Tilt allows eligible customers to reopen an account up to four times per year. Go to More in the app and tap Reopen if the option is available. Returning customers don’t get another 14-day trial and are charged $8 immediately on reactivation.6Tilt. Can I Restart My Tilt Subscription

If Charges Keep Coming

Charges after cancellation usually mean one of three things: the cancellation didn’t fully process, you canceled inside the app but the billing actually runs through Apple or Google Play, or the charge covers a period that was already billed before you canceled. Figure out which entity is billing you before doing anything else.

If the charges are genuinely unauthorized, you have two tools. Under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, you can tell your bank or credit union to stop preauthorized transfers, and the bank must honor that request as long as you notify them at least three business days before the next scheduled debit.7eCFR. 12 CFR 205.10 – Preauthorized Transfers The bank may ask for written confirmation within 14 days of an oral request, so follow up in writing.

If the subscription was on a credit card, the Fair Credit Billing Act gives you 60 days from the statement containing the error to send a written dispute to the card issuer.8Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors Include your name and account number, identify the charge, and explain why you’re disputing it. The issuer then has to investigate before reporting the amount as delinquent. Miss the 60-day window and your position weakens significantly.
