To cancel your Oculus subscription—now branded as Meta Quest—open the Meta Horizon mobile app, sign in to the Meta Store in a web browser, or use the settings menu inside the headset. Any of the three works, and the flow takes about two minutes. The one exception: if you originally signed up through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, Meta can’t cancel it for you, and you’ll need to go through Apple or Google instead.
Cancel in the Meta Horizon App
The mobile app is the route Meta’s own support pages point to first. It was previously called the Meta Quest app, and before that the Oculus app, so the icon on your phone may still carry an older name depending on when you last updated.
- Open the Meta Horizon app on your phone.
- Tap Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed.
- Scroll down and tap Subscriptions, under “Payment and subscriptions.”
- Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
- Confirm when prompted.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your next billing date and you won’t be charged for the following cycle. Access continues through the end of the period you’ve already paid for.1Meta. Cancel Your App or Game Subscription
Cancel on the Web or in the Headset
From a computer, sign in to the Meta Store website, go to your account settings, open the subscriptions section, and pick the one you want to end. The browser view lists renewal dates next to each active subscription, which helps if you’re timing the cancellation to avoid an early charge.
You can also do this without taking the headset off. Open the settings panel in VR, go to the subscriptions area, and select the service you want to stop. The confirmation flow is the same across all three methods, and you keep access through the end of your paid period.1Meta. Cancel Your App or Game Subscription
If You Subscribed Through Apple or Google
This is where most people get stuck. If you signed up on an iPhone or iPad through the App Store, or on an Android device through Google Play, the billing relationship is with that platform, not with Meta. If you open Meta’s subscriptions menu and don’t see the subscription listed, that’s almost always the reason.
Not sure which one billed you? Search your email for past receipts from Apple, Google, or Meta.
Through Apple
On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find the Meta-related subscription and tap Cancel Subscription.2Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple

What Happens After You Cancel
Cancellation doesn’t cut you off right away. You keep full access to the content through the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for.1Meta. Cancel Your App or Game Subscription
One catch specific to Meta Quest+ (currently $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year): once the subscription fully expires, you lose access to the catalog games you claimed through the service. Games you bought outright at a Quest+ discount are yours to keep.
After you cancel, check your email for a confirmation. Then go back into the subscriptions menu and confirm the status now reads “canceled” or shows an expiration date rather than a next renewal date. Save the confirmation email in case a billing dispute comes up later.
Refunds on a Canceled Subscription
Meta’s official refund policy states that refunds are not offered on subscription purchases.4Meta. Meta Quest/Rift Content Refund Policy The same policy does note that you can contact Meta customer support to see whether you qualify on a case-by-case basis. That’s worth trying if you were charged unexpectedly or if the subscription renewed after you believed you’d already canceled.
Your Rights If Meta Makes Cancellation Hard
Federal law is on your side.
