To cancel a Komoot subscription, go to the same platform where you signed up — the Komoot website, the Apple App Store, or Google Play — and turn off auto-renewal there. Komoot Premium runs $4.99 per month or $59.99 per year and renews automatically until you stop it.1komoot. Manage Your komoot Premium Subscription
First, Find Out Where You’re Being Billed
This is the step most people skip, and it causes most of the frustration. Komoot doesn’t manage billing for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, so a cancellation attempt on the website will do nothing if Apple or Google is the one charging you.
Check your bank or card statement. A charge from “Apple.com/bill” points to iOS. “Google Play” means Android. If the line item reads “Komoot” or “PayPal,” you subscribed on the website. Your email inbox is another good place to look — the original receipt will name the platform that processed the payment.
Cancel on the Komoot Website
If you paid directly with a credit card, PayPal, or SEPA direct debit:
- Log in at komoot.com and open Account Settings.
- Click the Premium tab. You’ll see your renewal date.
- Click Cancel subscription, then confirm with Yes, cancel subscription.
Auto-renewal stops immediately and no further charges are attempted.1komoot. Manage Your komoot Premium Subscription
Cancel Through the Apple App Store
If you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad, Apple handles the billing and you cancel through Apple:
- Open Settings.
- Tap your name at the top of the screen.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Komoot in the list.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
If Komoot doesn’t show up, make sure you’re signed in with the Apple Account you used to subscribe. Family Sharing members sometimes find the charge sitting under a different account.2Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple

For Android subscribers:

Canceling a Free Trial Before It Converts
Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Miss that window and Komoot converts the trial into a paid subscription automatically.4komoot. Canceling Your komoot Trial Subscription Before Conversion
Use whichever route matches where you started the trial. You keep Premium features for the rest of the trial period after canceling; you just won’t be charged when it ends.4komoot. Canceling Your komoot Trial Subscription Before Conversion
What Happens After You Cancel
Cancellation only stops the next renewal. Premium features stay available until the end of the period you already paid for. An annual plan that renewed on March 1 runs through its billing cycle regardless.1komoot. Manage Your komoot Premium Subscription
Once that period expires, your account moves to the free tier. Premium features like Personal Collections disappear from view. Your routes, profile, and map data aren’t deleted — they’re hidden, and they come back if you resubscribe with the same account.1komoot. Manage Your komoot Premium Subscription
Any World Pack or Region Packs you bought separately stay yours permanently. Those are one-time purchases and don’t rely on Premium.1komoot. Manage Your komoot Premium Subscription
Requesting a Refund
If you were charged unexpectedly, a refund may be possible through the platform that took the payment.
For website subscriptions, request a refund at komoot.com/account/refund. Komoot’s window is 20 days for weekly or monthly plans and 60 days for yearly plans. Eligible refunds cover the most recent payment and remove your access to that product. Expect 5 to 10 business days for the money to appear on your original payment method.5komoot. Request a Refund
For iOS charges, Apple handles refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, choose Request a refund, pick a reason, and select the Komoot charge. Apple typically responds within 24 to 48 hours.6Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple
For Android charges, use Google Play’s refund process. Open Google Play, find the Komoot transaction, and submit a request. Past 48 hours from the charge, Google may direct you to Komoot’s support team instead.7Google Play Help. Request a Refund on Google Play
World Pack Is Not the Same as Premium
One thing to keep straight before you cancel: the World Pack and Premium are separate products. The World Pack is a one-time purchase (roughly €29.99, pricing varies by platform) that unlocks offline maps and worldwide navigation. Premium is the recurring subscription that adds multi-day planning, sports-specific maps, and Personal Collections. Buying one doesn’t give you the other, and canceling Premium doesn’t take away a World Pack you already own.1komoot. Manage Your komoot Premium Subscription
