How to Cancel ShopRunner: Annual Refunds, Trials, and Card Perks

You can’t cancel a ShopRunner membership anymore because FedEx discontinued the service on January 31, 2026, closing both the website and the mobile app.1ShopRunner. Notice of Service Cessation Your account should already be closed, and no further charges should post. If a ShopRunner charge is still showing up on your card or bank statement, treat it as a billing error and dispute it with your card issuer.

The Service Is Closed

ShopRunner’s site now displays only a shutdown notice, and the app is no longer accessible. That means the old self-service path through the “My Account” section is gone. There’s no login to cancel, no billing page to visit, and no support chat to escalate through. If you paid an annual fee, your subscription ended when the service ended.

The former member services address, memberservices@shoprunner.com, is the only direct channel that was ever published for billing questions. Whether that inbox is still monitored isn’t something you can count on. If you email it and hear nothing back within a reasonable window, move to a card dispute.

Disputing a Charge That Posted After January 31, 2026

Any ShopRunner charge dated after the shutdown is unauthorized. You received no service in exchange, and you have the right to dispute it. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, you generally have 60 days from the date the statement containing the error was sent to notify your card issuer in writing.2Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges Miss that window and your legal protections weaken considerably.

The dispute itself is short work:

  • Save a screenshot of the charge, note the date and amount, and keep any email you sent to member services along with any bounce-back.
  • Call the number on the back of your card or open a billing dispute through your issuer’s online portal. Select “services not provided” or “unauthorized charge” as the reason.
  • For the strongest protection, send written notice to your issuer’s billing inquiries address within 60 days of the statement date. Include your name, account number, the charge amount, and a brief note that the merchant has permanently shut down.
  • Your issuer must acknowledge the dispute within 30 days and resolve it within two billing cycles.

Explain when you call that the merchant has ceased operations. That framing gets the file routed correctly.

If You Paid Annually Before the Shutdown

ShopRunner’s membership policies referenced a prorated refund when a member chose to cancel immediately rather than run out the billing cycle.3ShopRunner. Our Membership Policies If you prepaid for a year and the service ended partway through your term, you may be owed something for the unused portion. Email member services first. If you don’t get a response, raise it with your card issuer as part of a dispute for the pro-rata amount, not the full charge.

Free Trials That May Have Converted to Paid

ShopRunner’s policies stated that trial memberships would automatically convert into paid annual subscriptions if not canceled before the trial ended.3ShopRunner. Our Membership Policies If you started a trial in late 2025 and forgot about it, check your statements around the date the trial would have expired. A charge that posted with little or no usable service before the January shutdown is solid ground for a dispute.

Complimentary Memberships Through Amex or Mastercard

Many members never paid ShopRunner directly. American Express offered complimentary access on most U.S.-issued cards, and World and World Elite Mastercard holders also qualified. If your access came through one of those partnerships, ShopRunner never billed you, and there’s nothing to cancel or refund. The benefit simply no longer exists. If you’re not sure which category you fell into, look for a recurring ShopRunner line item on your statements. If there isn’t one, your account was sponsored and you’re done.
