To cancel Match.com, go to whichever platform is actually billing you — the Match website, the Apple App Store, Google Play, or PayPal — and turn off the subscription at least 48 hours before your next renewal date. Miss that window and you’ll be charged for another full cycle, and Match subscriptions are generally non-refundable once the charge goes through.
Check Which Platform Is Billing You
Before you click anything, find out who is actually charging your card. Pull up your credit card or bank statement and read the charge description. “MATCH.COM” means you subscribed directly through the website. “APPLE.COM/BILL” means you went through the iOS App Store. A “GOOGLE” descriptor points to Google Play. If PayPal processed the payment, it will show up in your PayPal transaction history.

Find Your Renewal Date and the 48-Hour Deadline
Match requires cancellation at least 48 hours before your next renewal date. Match also charges the full subscription cost upfront when you sign up or renew, not month by month, so a missed deadline means the whole next cycle hits your card at once.2Match. Billing All at Once
To find your renewal date, log in, go to your account settings, and open “Manage Subscription.” Your next billing date is displayed there. Set a calendar reminder a few days before it.
Cancel on the Match Website
If you subscribed directly through Match, cancel from your account:
- On desktop, log in, click the gear icon in the upper corner, and click “Manage Subscription.”
- On a mobile browser, log in, tap your profile icon, tap the gear icon, then tap “Manage Account” followed by “Manage Subscription.”
Match will run you through several screens and probably offer you a discount or a different plan. Keep clicking through until you reach the final confirmation. Your premium features stay active until the end of the period you already paid for. You don’t lose access the moment you cancel.
Cancel Through Apple, Google Play, or PayPal
If a third-party platform is billing you, canceling inside Match does nothing. Go straight to the platform.
Apple (iOS)
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap “Subscriptions.” Find Match, tap it, and select “Cancel Subscription.” Apple sends a confirmation email once it’s processed, and your access continues until the current billing period ends.3Apple Support. Google Play (Android)

PayPal

Whichever path you take, save the confirmation email or screenshot the final screen. If a charge shows up after you canceled, that receipt is your evidence for a dispute.
Free Trials End Access Immediately
Canceling a free trial works the same way mechanically, but you lose access the moment you confirm. Paid subscribers keep their features through the end of the billing period; trial users do not.1Match. Refunds Are Unlikely Once You’re Charged

If you believe you were charged after canceling, start with Match’s online support form. If that goes nowhere, dispute the charge with your credit card company or bank and attach your cancellation confirmation. Canceling Does Not Delete Your Account
Turning off your subscription only stops future charges. Your profile and photos are hidden from other users, but the data stays on Match’s servers, and you can reactivate anytime by signing back in.1Match. Canceling a Match Subscription
To remove the account entirely, go to your Profile in the app, tap the gear icon, tap “Manage Account,” and select “Delete Account.” On the website, click the profile icon, open Settings, click “Manage Account,” scroll down, and click “Delete Account.” Match will ask whether you want to hide the account (reversible) or delete it permanently.8Match. Ignore Phone Numbers Claiming to Be Match Support
Match does not offer phone support. Any website displaying a customer service phone number for Match is a scam, and Match’s help center says so directly.9Match Help Center.
