And the auto-renewal window, because many pest control contracts roll into a new full term unless you cancel 30 to 60 days before the renewal date.
What the Early Termination Fee Covers
If you leave before the contract term ends, Greenix charges an early termination fee to recoup the discounted rate on your first treatment. The initial visit involves more labor and materials than a routine quarterly service, and the company prices it below cost to win new customers. The fee closes that gap when a customer leaves early.
Fees commonly range from $150 to $300 based on the promotional discount applied at sign-up. Once you’ve finished the full contract term, the fee no longer applies and you can cancel with no financial penalty.

Filing a Complaint

When the Account Holder Has Died
The contract doesn’t automatically end when the primary account holder passes away. Unless the agreement explicitly terminates on death, the remaining balance and any early termination fee become a debt of the estate. The executor or administrator should contact Greenix with a copy of the death certificate and request termination. Most service companies waive the fee when presented with a death certificate, but no federal law requires them to. If Greenix insists on charging it, a probate attorney can advise whether to pay from estate funds or contest the claim.
