If DashPass is charging your card but doesn’t appear anywhere in your DoorDash account, the subscription almost certainly lives somewhere other than your current login. To cancel DashPass when it doesn’t show up in your account, you need to find where the billing actually originates: a duplicate DoorDash profile under a different email or phone number, an Apple or Google Play subscription, or a partner enrollment through a credit card or streaming service. Your bank statement will tell you which one.
Why the Subscription Is Hidden
Three setups create a DashPass charge with no visible subscription in your app.
The first is a duplicate account. If you ever checked out as a guest, signed up with a different email, or used a separate phone number, DoorDash treats that as its own profile. Your current login won’t show a subscription that belongs to an account you forgot you had, even when both share a delivery address and the same card on file.
The second is a partner enrollment. Chase offers complimentary DashPass as a cardholder perk, and streaming bundles through Max and Roku work the same way. Those enrollments are managed through DoorDash’s partner system, and the “Manage DashPass” option may not appear when you log in directly.1DoorDash. DashPass Max Partnership FAQs
The third is app store billing. If you first subscribed through the iOS App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google processes the recurring charge, not DoorDash, and the DoorDash interface may not reflect the subscription at all.
Start With Your Bank Statement
Pull up the charge before you contact anyone. A charge processed by DoorDash usually reads “DoorDash DashPass” or “DashPass” on your statement.2DoorDash Help Center. What is DashPass If the descriptor points to Apple or Google Play instead, that tells you the subscription is billed through the app store and has to be canceled there. Note the exact amount, the date, and the last four digits of the card.
Then make a list of every email address you’ve used for food delivery, including old work accounts and forgotten personal ones. One of them is probably tied to the ghost profile, and you’ll need it whether you’re talking to DoorDash support or your bank.
Cancel Through Apple or Google Play
If the charge traces to an app store, cancel there directly.
iPhone or Mac
On an iPhone, open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find DashPass and cancel it.3Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name, go to Account Settings, and scroll to Subscriptions. After you cancel, the listing shows an expiration date confirming the service won’t renew.
Android
Open Settings, tap Google, then your name, then Manage your Google Account. Go to Payments & subscriptions and select Manage subscriptions.4Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play Find DashPass and use the cancel button. Removing the payment method from your Google account is not the same as canceling; the billing cycle keeps running until you cancel explicitly.
Cancel a Chase, Max, or Roku Partner Subscription
Partner enrollments have to be canceled through a web browser rather than the app. Log into your DoorDash account at doordash.com, click Manage DashPass, then Cancel Membership or End Subscription. For Chase cardholders, DoorDash recommends deleting and re-adding the Chase card in Payment settings afterward so the partnership enrollment resets cleanly.5DoorDash. DashPass for Chase Card Members (DoorDash Updates)
If you’re enrolled through Roku, Chegg, or another partner and need billing to stop immediately, DoorDash says to contact the partner’s support team directly. Self-canceling a partner subscription sometimes only schedules an end date rather than halting billing right away.1DoorDash. DashPass Max Partnership FAQs
Call DoorDash Support to Find the Ghost Account
If the charge is coming from DoorDash directly but no subscription appears under your login, a support agent can search the internal database for the account you can’t see. Start a chat through the DoorDash app or call 855-431-0459, which is available 24/7.6DoorDash. How Do I Cancel My DashPass Subscription Tell them you’re being charged for DashPass but the subscription isn’t visible in your account, and give them the charge amount, date, and last four digits of the card.
The agent may ask for a screenshot of the statement. Once they locate the account, they can process a manual cancellation. Get a confirmation number and ask for a follow-up email. If billing continues the next month, that confirmation is your strongest evidence for a bank dispute.
Deleting the App or Your Account Does Not Cancel DashPass
This trips a lot of people up. Uninstalling the DoorDash app does nothing to the recurring charge, and even deleting your DoorDash account doesn’t automatically cancel DashPass. The billing authorization sits in the payment processor’s system, separate from your user profile. Cancel the subscription first through one of the paths above, then delete anything you want to delete.
Dispute the Charge With Your Bank
If DoorDash can’t find the account, refuses to cancel, or keeps charging you after a confirmed cancellation, take it to your card issuer.
Credit Cards
The Fair Credit Billing Act gives you 60 days from the date the statement was sent to notify your card issuer of a billing error in writing. The issuer has to acknowledge the dispute within 30 days and resolve it within two billing cycles, not to exceed 90 days.7Office of the Law Revision Counsel. United States Code Title 15 – 1666 During the investigation, the creditor can’t report the disputed amount as delinquent or send it to collections. Most issuers issue a provisional credit while they look into it.
Debit Cards
Debit card charges are handled under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act. You have 60 days from when the statement was sent to report the error. The bank then has 10 business days to investigate, or up to 45 days if it provisionally credits your account.8Office of the Law Revision Counsel. United States Code Title 15 – 1693f
Stop Payment Orders
You can also ask your bank to place a stop payment on the recurring charge. Give the order at least three business days before the next scheduled payment. Your bank may require written confirmation within 14 days of an oral request.9Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. How Can I Stop a Payday Lender From Electronically Taking Money Out of My Bank or Credit Union Account Most banks charge between $20 and $35 for the service. A stop payment blocks future debits from that merchant but doesn’t settle any past charges you’re disputing.
Document everything: confirmation numbers from DoorDash, screenshots of the charges, and copies of emails. Banks weigh dispute outcomes heavily on whether you tried to resolve the issue with the merchant first.
File an FTC Complaint If Cancellation Was Obstructed
The Federal Trade Commission finalized a click-to-cancel rule in October 2024 that requires businesses to make canceling a subscription as easy as signing up, with a simple mechanism that immediately stops the charges.10Federal Trade Commission. Federal Trade Commission Announces Final Click-to-Cancel Rule Making It Easier for Consumers to End Recurring Subscriptions and Memberships Most provisions took effect 180 days after publication, with the compliance deadline in spring 2025.
