How to Cancel Clipto on Web, iPhone, or Android

To cancel Clipto, use the same place you signed up: cancel on the Clipto website if you subscribed there, through your iPhone or iPad Settings if you subscribed via the App Store, or through the Google Play Store app if you subscribed on Android. You can also email support@clipto.com. The cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, so premium features stay available until that date.

First, Check Where You Signed Up

This one step decides which method actually works. A subscription bought through Apple or Google has to be canceled through Apple or Google — Clipto can’t cancel it for you, and clicking “cancel” on Clipto’s website won’t stop the charge. This mix-up is the most common reason people believe they canceled but keep getting billed.

Search your email for your original Clipto receipt. If it came from Apple or Google, that’s your cancellation route. If it came from Clipto, you signed up on the website. Still unsure? Check the merchant name on your bank or credit card statement.

Log into your account first — Clipto’s FAQ notes you need to be logged in before starting.1Clipto. FAQ From your dashboard, open your profile icon in the upper corner and go to billing or subscription settings. Click the cancellation option. The site may ask why you’re leaving before it shows a final confirmation screen. Click through to confirm.

If the page won’t load or you hit errors, email support@clipto.com asking to cancel. Include your account email and any transaction details. Keep a copy of the message so you have proof of the request.

App Store subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Clipto’s App Store listing spells out the timing rule: turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before your current billing period ends, or you’ll be charged for the next cycle.2Apple. Clipto AI – Notes and Transcribe on the App Store

Subscriptions bought on Google Play are canceled through the Play Store, not through Clipto.

Canceling During the Free Trial

Clipto offers a 7-day free trial for new users. Cancel inside that window and the pre-authorization hold on your payment method is voided — no charge at all.1Clipto. FAQ After day seven, the trial converts to a paid plan automatically.

Set a reminder for day five or six. Waiting until day seven is risky, and Apple’s 24-hour rule makes it riskier still.

What Happens After You Cancel

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term you’ve already been billed for, not immediately. You keep premium access until that date.5Clipto. Terms of Service After it passes, your account drops to the free tier and no further charges go through.

Watch your inbox for a confirmation email — it’s your proof the request registered, and it shows when access ends. Also log back into Clipto or check your Apple or Google subscription settings and verify the status shows as canceled. Paid subscribers have to cancel before each new payment cycle begins, so the 30-second check is worth doing.1Clipto. FAQ

Refunds

Clipto does not issue refunds once a new billing cycle starts, even if you haven’t used the service that cycle, and there are no prorated refunds mid-period.1Clipto. FAQ The one exception Clipto lists is if you canceled correctly and were charged anyway; in that case the company says it will review and process a refund within 30 days to your original payment method. Clipto also reserves the right to decline refund requests at its discretion, particularly on recurring payments. Your cancellation confirmation email is your strongest evidence if you ever need to dispute a charge.

If you subscribed through Apple or Google, requesting a refund from that platform is often the better route.

For Apple, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, choose “Request a refund,” pick your reason, find the Clipto charge, and submit. You can’t request a refund on a pending charge, so wait until it clears and you have an email receipt.6Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple

For Google Play, go to play.google.com, click your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Budget & order history. Find the Clipto charge, click “Report a problem,” and submit. Google usually decides within one to four days. If more than 48 hours have passed since purchase, Google suggests contacting the developer first.7Google Play Help. Request a Refund on Google Play
