To cancel an Apollo.io subscription, an account administrator opens Admin Settings, goes to Plan Overview, and uses the cancel option below the plan details. That path works for self-service monthly plans. Annual and enterprise contracts are non-cancelable mid-term and require written notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the term ends.1Apollo.io. Terms of Service Apollo does not refund unused time, so access continues through the period you already paid for and then drops to the free Starter plan.2Apollo.io. Pricing Plans
Cancel a Monthly Self-Service Plan
Only admins can cancel. A regular team member has to ask an admin or get their role changed first.3Apollo. Customize and Manage Your Apollo Plan
- Click Admin Settings in the bottom-left of the dashboard, then Plan Overview.
- Scroll to “What’s Included in your plan.” The cancel button sits below the plan details.
- Work through the short feedback screens. Apollo will ask why you’re leaving and may offer a downgrade instead.
- Confirm on the final warning screen, which lists the features you’ll lose.
You should see an on-screen confirmation and get an email at the address on the account. Keep that email. It’s your timestamped proof if a charge shows up later.
If the cancel button isn’t there, Apollo’s help documentation tells you to contact support directly.3Apollo. Customize and Manage Your Apollo Plan
Annual and Enterprise Contracts Work Differently
Apollo’s terms state that subscriptions are non-cancelable during the term. You can’t stop paying partway through an annual commitment.1Apollo.io. Terms of Service
To stop it from auto-renewing, send written notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the current term ends. Miss that window and the plan renews for another full period at whatever pricing applies.1Apollo.io. Terms of Service
If you signed up through Apollo’s sales team rather than self-service, the in-dashboard cancel button may not do anything. Contact your account manager or Apollo support to start the cancellation.3Apollo. Customize and Manage Your Apollo Plan
Export Your Contacts First
Once the paid plan ends, higher-tier features go away and credit allowances shrink. Pull your data out while you still have full access. Go to Search, then People, apply your filters, select the contacts you want, and click Export. You can include all contacts or just verified emails.4Apollo. Export Contacts to a CSV
Exporting contacts already saved to your account uses no credits. Net-new contacts you haven’t saved yet do consume credits on export, so time large pulls before you cancel rather than after.4Apollo. Export Contacts to a CSV
Refunds and Billing Timing
Apollo’s terms say all payments are nonrefundable, with no refunds for partially used services or credits. The terms note Apollo “may elect” to grant a refund or discount at its sole discretion, but the default is no.1Apollo.io. Terms of Service
Mid-term downgrades are also non-refundable. Switch from a higher tier to a lower one halfway through the cycle and you won’t get the difference back.2Apollo.io. Pricing Plans
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, so there’s no benefit to waiting until the last day. There’s real cost, though, to missing the cutoff.2Apollo.io. Pricing Plans
What Your Account Looks Like After Cancellation
Paid features stay live through the end of the billing period you already paid for. After that, the account downgrades to Apollo’s free Starter plan rather than being deleted.2Apollo.io. Pricing Plans
Unused credits expire at the end of the billing cycle. They don’t roll over on any plan, so anything you’ve built up won’t be waiting for you if you resubscribe later.3Apollo. Customize and Manage Your Apollo Plan
On the Starter plan you can still run email campaigns, but non-paying accounts can only connect Gmail email accounts, and credit allowances are far lower than any paid tier.2Apollo.io. Pricing Plans Your saved lists, historical data, and outreach records remain accessible, so a later resubscription doesn’t start from zero.
Canceling Is Not the Same as Deleting
Cancellation stops billing and drops the plan. It does not remove your account data. If you want the data itself gone, submit a separate deletion request through Apollo’s Privacy Center, which removes your profile, opts you out, and adds you to a suppression list so the profile isn’t recreated. If the self-service forms don’t work for you, email privacy@apollo.io.5Apollo.io. Apollo Privacy Policy
Deletion is permanent. Cancellation lets you come back later with your history intact; deletion does not. Export first, then decide which one you actually want.
