How to Cancel Angie’s List: Online, Phone, or Apple/Google

To cancel Angie’s List — now called Angi — open the Projects tab on the Angi app or website, select your recurring plan, tap Manage Booking, and choose Cancel Entire Plan. If you originally signed up through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you have to cancel through that store instead, because that’s where the billing actually lives.

Cancel Through the Projects Tab

Angi’s self-service cancellation runs through four steps:

  • Open Projects in the Angi app, or go to your My Projects page on the website.
  • Select the recurring plan you want to cancel.
  • Tap Manage Booking, then Cancel Entire Plan.
  • Follow the confirmation prompts to the end.1Angi. Cancel My Recurring Plan

Expect a retention screen or two on the way out, offering a discount or asking why you’re leaving. Click past them and wait for the confirmation message before you close the tab. Before you begin, check your next renewal date in the billing section. Canceling a few days ahead of that date keeps the timing clean.

Cancel by Phone or Chat

If the Projects tab isn’t cooperating, call Angi’s general support line at 1-888-811-ANGI (2644), or use the live chat icon in the bottom-right corner of most Angi support pages.2Angi. If you no longer have access to the email address on the account, Angi directs you to a different number for recovery or cancellation: (877) 947-3639.3Angi. Reset Email Sent

If You Subscribed Through Apple or Google Play

Angi cannot cancel a subscription that was purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The charge is coming from Apple or Google, and only they can stop it.

Apple

On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Select Angi and tap Cancel Subscription. On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name, then Account Settings, scroll to Subscriptions, click Manage, and cancel there. If there’s no cancel button and you see a red expiration message instead, the subscription is already canceled.4Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple

Google Play

Open the Play Store app, tap your profile icon, and go to Subscriptions. Select Angi and cancel. Google recommends canceling at least 48 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Service continues through the end of the current billing period.

What Happens After You Cancel

Canceling doesn’t lock you out right away. Paid features like Angi Key discounts stay active through the end of your current billing period. After that, the account drops to a free tier where you can still browse reviews and see past project messages, but premium perks fall away.

Watch for a confirmation email. That email is your proof that no further charges should hit. If it doesn’t show up within a few hours, log back in and check your account status, or contact support to confirm the cancellation actually went through. Skipping this step is where most billing disputes start.

Deleting Your Account Is a Separate Step

Canceling stops future charges. Deletion removes your personal information from Angi’s systems. If you only cancel, the account sits dormant with your data retained as a fraud-prevention measure.5Angi Support. Delete My Angi Account

To delete the account entirely, contact Angi support through chat or phone and ask for full account deletion. They’ll remove your card information from their payment partner. Deletion requests are typically handled within 30 days, and your name, email, and phone number come out of their records.6Angi Help Center. How to Delete Your Business Account Information

Important sequencing: a deletion request does not cancel active billing. Cancel the membership first, then request deletion. Outstanding agreements continue until they’re properly terminated, either through the standard cancellation flow or by calling (877) 947-3639.6Angi Help Center. If You Were Charged After Trying to Cancel

If a renewal hit your card after you tried to cancel, or after you thought you had, the Fair Credit Billing Act gives you a path. Write to your credit card issuer at the address listed for billing inquiries, not the payment address, within 60 days of the statement that shows the charge. Include your name, account number, a description of the problem, and copies of any cancellation confirmation you received.7Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges

The issuer must acknowledge your dispute within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days. While they investigate, you don’t have to pay the disputed amount, and they can’t report you as delinquent or send it to collections. Debit card disputes have weaker protections, so if you paid with a debit card, contact your bank directly and move fast.7Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges
